More RBG Aenglish

I've finally got another bunch of Red Box Games' Aenglish painted up to go with the warband. Almost done with this lot. Just three more models to go then they can head off to their owner and hopefully end up on the tabletop somewhere. It's been good painting these but I'm ready for a change of pace now. Once everything is done I'll take some better photo's.

  1. Amazing. The painting of the clothes is soooo smooth. Love it! And the choice of colors is excellent: would you mind giving your references for the red and blue parts?

    1. The red had a base coat of GW Khorne Red mixed with a little dark brown. Quick highlight with pure Khorne Red then I added some VGC Bloody Red. I didn't quite highlight all the way up to pure Bloody Red though. Then I added VMC Stone Grey for that bleached out look.

The blue was a base of Coat d'Arms Fester Blue mixed with VMC US Olive Drab. That was highlighted up to pure Fester Blue and then also had VMC Stone Grey added.

I used a little paint wash here and there in the recesses too. Just a mix of VGC Charred Brown and VGC Imperial Blue. For a dirtier look I used some VMC US Olive Drab washed onto the shields as well.
