Infinity Operation Icestorm models WIP

My first crack at some Infinity stuff. Nice models, bit of a faff to assemble as is the case with anything that comes in more than two pieces, and paint up well, although I think I've underestimated how time consuming that is. These are two basic trooper types.

Had planned to paint the berets red but at the last minute decided to go with green.

  1. Armor looks amazing...but I can see where it would take awhile!

  2. On a totally unrelated subject....did you get your photo set up all dialed in? I'd love to hear what your system is.

    1. The camera is pretty much on auto settings, whatever setting 'P' is. LOL Been using the flash to fill in too which is working pretty well. Still the occasional problem with colour balance (it didn't like all that red on those Chronal Commandos). Could still do with some better lights for larger models when the camera has to be pulled back from the subject. I need to learn more about focusing too.

  3. Did you paint them assembled? I just picked up the starter box last night, and some of these pieces fit so tightly together, I can't imagine how I'm going to get my brush into some of the tight spaces with any level of accuracy. The figure on the left's face is one example. Beautiful work on these.

    1. Yeah, fully assembled. If I really have to leave something off prior to painting I will but most things get glued.
